Session Title: Transforming Consumer Marketplaces

 

Care.com is one of the few consumer internet companies in the Boston area. As the world’s largest online marketplace for finding and managing family care with over 18 million members across 16 countries, Care.com has a unique perspective on consumer trends, product development, and tech innovation. Learn how Care.com transformed an existing marketplace and continues to innovate in mobile, analytics, user experience, product design, and more. Host Dave Krupinski, Co-Founder & CTO of Care.com will share the experience of building the company to where it is today and vision for the future. He will be joined by Saurin Shah, Vice President of Product, and Todd Griffith, Creative Director of Interactive, Mobile & UX.

 

Suggested Audience: Entrepreneurs, product designers, marketers, user experience professionals, and anyone interested in the latest trends in consumer online services and mobile technology.

We will have an interactive session regarding our Ninja Coffee Bar. We will discuss how we launched a disruptive innovative product - from conceptualization to market.

Session Title: How To Fit In a Workout While Stuck in Rush Hour

BikeBus will take 16 lucky participants on board the world's first vehicle that combines fitness, transportation, and a patent-pending safety system in an effort to combat chronic diseases resulting from our increasingly sedentary lifestyle.  Whether it's at our desks during the day or during our commutes, we sit a lot every day.  Researchers have gone so far to say that sitting is killing us.  Come experience firsthand how we transform unhealthy sedentary time into healthy active time - even while stuck on the highway during rush hour! Q&A as we bike around Boston in our climate-controlled and captivating environment.

Session A - 8 participants from 2:30-3:00 pm
Session B - 8 participants from 3:00-3:30 pm
Towels, water, and fruit provided; Athletic wear encouraged; Sneakers required
