DIRECTIONS TO ATTENDEES:
When you arrive at 839 Albany Street you will see a Body Works shop. The Best Bees Company is located directly behind that -- on the lower level. Just walk around back!

Festival goers will see what it takes to run a beekeeping operation. We will have hundreds of honeybee-packages on site, preparing to be installed at homes and businesses throughout New England. The tour of our space will allow visitors an opportunity to help build bee boxes and frames, as well as see the technology behind our new SmartHive system. Questions and ideas will be welcomed throughout.

Attendees will be given a tour of the world's first organism engineering foundry, Ginkgo's Bioworks1, a fully automated 18,000 square foot facility using automation to advance and scale the process of biological engineering. Session attendees will also have the opportunity to sample various cultured ingredients and scents developed by Ginkgo's state-of-the-art synthetic biology foundry.

Transit: We recommend taking the Red Line to JFK/UMass Station. From 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., a free shuttle bus takes you to and from the Campus Center. The trip normally takes 10 minutes.

Taxi/Uber/Lyft: Instruct the driver to take you to the UMass Boston Campus Center.

Driving: There are several parking lots around the campus. We recommend the Bayside Lot (200 Mt. Vernon Street). Free shuttles run Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., to the Campus Center. The trip normally takes ten minutes.

From the Campus Center, take the elevator from the Upper Level to Second Floor. Turn right, and walk the length of the building, then enter the catwalk. Walk straight ahead to Wheatley Hall. Take the elevator to the Third Floor. Turn left, and walk down the hallway until you reach a white-walled corridor with a glass door entrance to the Venture Development Center.
