When HubSpot Co-founders Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah introduced inbound in 2006, it was with the mission of reaching the world in a more helpful and human way. Inbound offered businesses an alternative to traditional tactics like cold calling, billboard ads, direct mailing, and other intrusive "outbound" methods. It instead focused on creating quality content that pulled people toward your company and product, where they naturally wanted to be, allowing marketers and salespeople to attract, convert, close and delight over time.
Now, nearly ten years later, that simple mission has become a global movement. With thousands of customers around the world, millions of blog visitors in several major languages, and the annual INBOUND event (which attracted 14,000+ registered attendees in 2015), we are in the midst of a revolution.
